39th Annual Sears Invitational Art Show & Sale Submission Policy
- Eligibility
- Open to all artists aged 18 and above.
- Geographic restrictions: artists based West of the Mississippi River.
- Submission Guidelines
- Accepted mediums: Oil, watercolor, acrylic, miscellaneous media, mixed media, photography, sculpture, ceramics, and digital art.
- Maximum size: 48 x 48 inches.
- Maximum weight: 50 lbs. (2D art)
- Up to 3 submissions per artist; maximum of 2 submissions accepted.
- All works must be original.
- All works must be created within the calendar year of submission submission dates (Jan. 2024-Oct. 2025).
- Application Process
- Submit via our online form at https://2026searsinvitational.artcall.org
- Required information: artist's name, email, phone number, title of work, medium, dimensions, year of creation, artist statement, art transportation method.
- File format: JPEG or PNG, maximum 10 MB per file.
- Fees
- Deadlines
- Submission deadline: October 31, 2025, at 11:59 PM.
- Notification date: November 17, 2025.
- Selection Process
- Selected by a panel of expert judges.
- Criteria: originality, technical skill, salability.
- Exhibition Details
- Exhibition dates: February 14-March 28, 2026.
- Venue: Sears Art Museum at Utah Tech University, St. George, UT.
- Utah artists – free pickup and drop-off will be provided.
- Non-Utah artists – responsible for shipping to and from museum, and insurance.
- Sales and Commissions
- All artworks must be available for purchase during the exhibition.
- UT Sears Art Museum commission: 40% of sale price.
- Publicity and Promotion
- The exhibition will be promoted through our website, social media, and press releases.
- By submitting, artists grant permission to use images of their work for promotional purposes.
- Legal Considerations
- Artists retain copyright of their works.
- By submitting, artists agree to the terms and conditions of this policy.
